Heroes, movie stars, politicians, and others celebrities are
famous people. They have made some significant impact on the
lives of countless people nationally as well as
internationally. Other heroes however are not famous, yet,
their lives touched many in their immediate surroundings.
Brother Frank J. Hutchings, Sr., for example, was called
"Mr. Civil Rights of Macon, Georgia". Even though he and his
brother Bill Hutchings no longer walk among us, their legacy
of quality education and equal justice for all causes us to
remember him. However, othe rs like former Deputy
Superintendent Robert J. Williams, Bibb County School Board
President Bill Odom, business owner and
William Duval move among us today serving as
positive role models in our community as family men,
community as family men, community volunteers,
church lay leaders, and true men of Epsilon Beta
Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.
